Courier briefs for offline handoffs

Couriers are not your security team. If the brief requires a laptop, a portal login, or a ten-minute lecture, it will be skipped the first rainy evening.

Keep five facts

1. Sealed bag ID
2. Destination contact name and phone
3. Whether the bag may be X-rayed
4. What to do if the seal is questioned
5. Where to stand while the receiving desk opens the bag

Say what not to do

Explicitly forbid opening the bag to “check the label,” stacking heavy cargo on top, or leaving media in an unattended vehicle. People invent helpful shortcuts when silence implies permission.
